I have been registered with HousePals.com for four months and at first it seemed the perfect place to find accommodation. The search tools are fantastic and the website is very well designed and the prices are so convincing, HOWEVER the website hosts nothing but scammer after scammer. EVERY advertiser that I have been in contact with has requested that I MUST send £500 to Western Union to a 'family or close friend' BEFORE SEING THE PROPERTY! HousePals is nothing but a big joke for desperate and gullible future tenants.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. You will have more luck walking from house to house enquiring about the for let for for sale sign posted! (but I wouldn't recommend that, you'll probably look like a weirdo)
If you are about to jump on the property bandwagon to begin your search for properties do not use this site...there's Gumtree, Zoopla, Rightmove, word of mouth, Facebook anything is better than this scam filled site.
In summary, I would not recommend House Pals to a friend.
